Marama meets māramatanga—where Matariki's nine whetū descended as pillars of radiance, transforming Stardome into a shimmering beacon for Aotearoa's newest celebration.
Matariki Lights at Stardome created an immersive exterior activation that drew manuhiri to Maungakiekie for Aotearoa's first official Matariki Public Holiday. This beautiful light and sound installation transformed the observatory into a unique canvas for storytelling, where nine pillars of light danced across the building's exterior accompanied by waves of sound.
The campaign imagery captured both beauty and intrigue, balancing the magical with the accessible. A bespoke typographical treatment was integrated to shimmer within the light pillars, creating a slightly surreal and enchanting visual that engaged audiences while honouring the significance of this new national celebration. The result was an invitation to experience Matariki through light, sound, and shared wonder beneath the stars.
