Creation of an animation and promotional brochure to promote rail's economic and sustainable contribution to New Zealand. Included an extension of the KiwiRail brand and development of key infographics to communicate findings from the Value of Rail report prepared by professional services firm EY.
The campaign was widely received and viewed on social media. And in the budget of 2019, the Government announced $1 billion over the next two years for KiwiRail to restore tracks and rail infrastructure, as well as replacing and upgrading wagons and maintenance facilities.
The Government rail funding is being described as "the first step" as the Government prepares to develop a national rail plan, raising expectations for more large funding allocations in the future.
